A Wix site with no headings, and what Google saw instead
Top Project FL is an ICRA-certified construction, remodeling and painting company in Orlando. Their old site loaded slowly, had no heading on any page, and did not exist in Spanish — in a market that largely speaks it.
The problem
A slow, template-based Wix site carrying roughly 38MB of unoptimized images, on top of the page-builder code Wix runs on every visit.
Worse than the weight: not a single page had an H1 heading. That is the one signal that tells Google what a page is about, and it was missing everywhere. No structured data either, and no Spanish version at all — for a construction company in Central Florida.
What we built
A custom-coded five-page site, bilingual from the ground up, launched without losing a single position.
- Spanish that Google can index. The Spanish is pre-rendered into the HTML at real /es/ addresses, not swapped in by JavaScript — so both languages get indexed.
- The basics, finally there. A real H1 on every page, unique keyword-rich titles and descriptions, Open Graph and Twitter cards, alt text throughout, and full LocalBusiness and FAQPage structured data.
- 301 redirects on launch. Every old address points to its new one, so the ranking they had built carried over.
- The rest of the build. A hero video, a lightbox gallery organised into seven project categories, a mobile menu tuned down to the smallest phones, and a contact form that works.
The result
The site kept its existing Google ranking through the migration, which is the part that usually goes wrong. Ten indexed addresses where there had been five, now in two languages.
Along the way we caught and fixed a contradiction the old site had been publishing: its structured data claimed Monday-to-Friday hours while the contact page advertised 24/7 availability for healthcare work. We also removed links to social profiles the business does not actually maintain — pointing at dead profiles costs credibility rather than adding it.
